This is a visually striking and Unusual Vintage Modern Pop Art GIANT CAT Advertisement Display Statue, comprised of overpainted fiberglass, depicting a playful Persian cat, extending its right paw, and wearing a red collar. From my research, this is one of less than a handful of nearly identical giant fiberglass cat statues that were made in the 1970's and utilized by a few high-end pet stores in the U. Similar, nearly identical statues have been offered on 1stDibs, and those had originated from an old pet store in New York State. This huge fiberglass sculpture is approximately 41 inches tall x 25 inches wide x 64 inches long, from ear to tail. This statue has various fixtures with holes and hooks and would have hung from the ceiling of a pet store for many decades. Good condition for years of age and storage, with moderate - heavy scuffing, edge wear, paint loss and paint flaking throughout please see photos carefully.
