She is looking at herself in a hand mirror. The clear blown glass bottle has a large amber teardrop inside, and that is the actual part of bottle that would hold liquid, although the bottle never held any liquid, it was always only an empty display for perfume Ondine. Bottle was originally on display in JL Hudson downtown store in the late 1950s until the early1960s, and it came from the estate of the former perfume department store manager. It is not marked or signed, although definitely French art glass. Measures 18" tall with stopper intact, bottle alone is 14" and stopper is 4 high.
Base is 4" diameter, and widest part of bottle with mermaid is 6" in diameter. The etched mermaid is 3 high. There is a chip on the underside edge of the stopper, as pictured. It does show a very tiny bit when stopper in place, but not on the side with the mermaid etching.
Bottle weighs almost 15 pounds, it is an extremely thick and heavy piece of art glass. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Vanity, Perfume & Shaving\Perfumes\Decorative Glass/Crystal"." and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
