RARE Aunt Jane's Candy Treats 1902 Jar Antique Counter Store Display 17 MINT. Jar is made in Italy. These jars were formed in 2 separate parts (not counting lid) The jar was molded separately from the pedestal base and then they base was glued to the bottom. With many of these old jars the glue that holds them together has turned yellow with age and often leaves an unsightly yellow joint and occasionally yellow drip marks. This particular jar does not have any yellowing and looks wonderful.

The glass is very clear and has lots of nice bubbles in the glass as is common with early glass jars which just adds to its beauty. Jar is about 17 tall including the lid. Front is marked AUNT JANE'S CANDY TREATS. Back is marked TRUE MEASURE 2 QUARTS WILSON GROVE KANSAS 1902. Sides are marked PURE & FRESH.

These tall jars are great to display old time stick candy, but work great for individual tootsie rolls or any of your favorites.
