THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST ITEMS I HAVE EVER. IT IS A EARLY 1900S. FROM MY RESEARCH I BELIEVE THESE WOULD BE ON A COUNTER. IN A STORE AND THERE WOULD BE WATER WITH FLOATING WOOD.
COVERED IN WATER SPAR VARNISH TO SHOW AS A SALESMAN SAMPLE. THAT THE WOOD WOULD FLOAT. THE LETTERS ARE LARGE AND EMBOSSED. THERE IS AN INTERNAL CRACK ON THE BOTTOM. I RAN MY FINGER OVER IT AND CANT FEWEL IT AT ALL.
I DO NOT BELIEVE IT AFFECTS THE INTEGRITY AT ALL. BESIDES THE SMALL INTERNAL CRACK, ITS IN GREAT SHAPE. A FEW MINOR SCRATCHES AND BLEMISHES.
STILL AN INCREDIBLE DISPLAY PIECE!! THE TOP MEASURES 8 IN DIAMETER.
THE TOP OPENING IS ABOUT 6 IN DIAMETER. THE BOTTOM BASE IS ABOUT 5 IN DIAMETER. IT IS ABOUT 9 TALL. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS FOR DETAILS.
