From what I have read, this is probably circa 1920's - 30's. The smaller jars were made for home use, but the large jars like this one were for commercial use in candy stores, soda fountains, and general stores.
Because of the amount of use they got, not many of these larger jars survived. Both the lid and the container have the Heisey "diamond H" mark. This one has a chip to the finial and scratches and wear consistent with age/use.But it still displays very nicely and will look wonderful filled with colorful candy or vintage marbles!
