Antique VTG Mahogany Pharmacy Apothecary Prescription Drug Store Counter Cabinet Display. Still in wonderful condition for it's age. Makes for a very unique display cabinet. Original reverse painted Dispensing Department glass sign on top of pharmacy counter display cabinet.

Measures roughly 80" tall x 48" wide x 22 1/2 deep. The 9 shelves behind sliding doors are about 6 deep and can be moved around, up/down to desired location.

A great eye catching conversation piece that you don't ever see. Would make for the perfect Unique Apothecary display case cabinet. This is what I was originally going to do myself, but unfortunately I don't have room in my home for it. I was told piece came from a very small country town's General Store, that was an all in one Pharmacy, Hardware, Grocery store, all in one shop. That is about all the history that they knew unfortunately, No idea what town or even what area of the country.

Also unknown to what company manufactured these. There are no clear markings anywhere on piece. There is 1 old label that is almost completely gone but all that you can still read is "PENSING". Which I would assume is the end of DISPENSING. This is where you would go to fill your prescriptions & Pharmacist would be working on back side doing the medication.

The front side, where the sliding glass doors are, would be filled with misc point of sale items most likely. The 2 glass Mahogany wood frame sliding doors with brass finger pulls, do slid nice and easily open/closed. There are absolutely NO chips or cracks in any of the glass panels in doors, large window or reverse painted glass sign. Looks like at one time there may have been shelves or drawers underneath the Pharmacist working shelf/table area on backside. The working area does show signs of use and age as you can see in pictures. The front display area still looks great with no major flaws anywhere.

Top wooden marquee with reverse painted Dispensing Department sign can be removed with 2 screws, separating it just above glass glass window. Both sliding doors can also easily be removed, along with 9 small shelves. I do also travel the central US weekly for work, so depending on your location I may be able to deliver or meetup somewhere in between.
