Antique SQUIRREL BRAND Peanuts Glass Store Display Jar Metal Lid Cambridge MA #3. Today we are happy to offer a great Squirrel Brand Salted Peanuts advertising counter store display jar. This is an upright rectangular jar with a lithographed metal lid dating to the 1940s or so. The green yellow, red and black printed lid reads, Squirrel Brand Salted Peanuts Reg. With a great graphic of a squirrel on a branch. The jar is embossed "AH" on the base, made by Anchor Hocking. The jar measures 9 1/4" h x 5 3/4" w x 5 1/2 d.

This jar has a partial paper label on the front with similar artwork and the "Squirrel Brand" and "Salted Peanuts" on a diagonal across the front. The label is in delicate shape. This display jar is in good antique condition with no cracks, chips, repairs or other problems.

The metal lid has oxidation and rust as can be clearly seen in photos, but graphics are bright. There is a partial label on the front of the jar which has paper losses, curling and tears.

A really great, rare addition to your advertising, general store, or peanut collection. Fresh to the market from an old Rhode Island general store!
