Antique Blown Glass Dome Top Server Store Counter Display Wheel Cut Bird/Flowers. This is a lovely antique crystal bon bon serving dish complete with acid and wheel cut cover. The serving dish includes an intricately designed hollow stemmed pedestal together with a hollow handle/knob on the top of the cover.
The cover is accented with delicate acid etched flowers and stems and a wheel etched bird. The floral pattern continues on the top of the cover near the handle and the handle has an etched circle pattern. The base with cover measures approximately 11 1/2" tall 6 3/4" wide. Without the cover, the hollow stemmed pedestal base measures approximately 5 1/2" tall, 6 1/4" diameter serving plate with a 4 1/2 diameter base. The cover measures approximately 6 1/4" tall and 6" in diameter.
As can be expected with a piece this age and use, there are some minor scratches on the serving plate and small flea bites along the edge of the cover but nothing that detracts from the piece displaying nicely. As can be seen in the photos, the bon bon server is in good condition for its age and would make a wonderful addition to your crystal, cut glass, acid or wheel etched, serving or other collections.
